LINA - Repository for National Periodical Licenses

The archive server LINA (licences Alliance and National), hosted by the hebis-Verbundzentrale, provides licensed materials with archive rights for libraries and their users. Hosted are National- und Allianzlizenzen (national and alliance licences), consortial licences of the hebis consortium as well as local licenses of the hebis libraries and made available to the respective authorized users.

The Johann Christian Senckenberg University Library is one of eight German libraries which acquired various National and Alliance licences for the supraregional supply of literature in the years 2004 - 2010 as part of the DFG funding program „Überregionale Literaturversorgung“ ("Licences for Digital Content"). The Johann Christian Senckenberg University Library is responsible for over 20 national and alliance licences.

The hebis consortium has been negotiating national and regional consortia since 2000. To ensure continued access to licensed materials, some content is made available here.

Furthermore, LINA also enables the provision of local licences of individual libraries.

Access to the materials is IP-controlled.
